We lost a great Alaskan, Musician and Friend last week when Chris was taken from us way before his time. Chris and his brothers David and Eric rocked Fairbanks LOUD HARD AND FAST straight outta Rosie Creek back in the day with DEMON. Alaska wasn't big enough for the full force Sabbath fed crew so they packed up the stacks and head'd south in the early 80's to form "panDEMONium" They were not only trend setters in the newly emerging metal scene, they were also guardians of what metal is and always will be about "PASSION".
Chris returned to Alaska and his home of Fairbanks a few years back...and "in my personal opinion" he indeed learned from his many experiences and grew into a man that carried himself with not only a natural calmness, but also a radiant happiness that only a self assured, centered and focused individual can carry.
On the 3rd Chris and David stop'd by the studio...and I'll NEVER forget the gleam in Chris's eye's when he talked about the music he loved with more then a passion...to me, the gleam wasn't of hunger and the desire to be "the center of all things" that I've seen in so many people in our business...the gleam was of pure unadulterated joy in once again sharing with us all the music that brings us all together...
We are a brotherhood, we are a sisterhood... WE ARE ALL ONE FAMILY.. each and every one of us...
And CHRIS, You will never be forgotten and you shall ALWAYS cast a shadow on our hearts, not one of sorrow but of joy...the joy you brought to all that you touched...your footprints remain and remind us of all that IS you.
Fly to the angels bro.
